Sydney at a very early age showed an interest in books. I wanted to foster her interest, so I planned a special book-themed birthday party for her that would showcase her love and interest in reading and hopefully spark that interest in other children.
Little did I know that just that one idea would spark so many rave reviews! After reading the disappointing news reports and educational studies that showed how lacking our country was in this area, I began to concentrate on Sydney’s peers and wanted to provide an opportunity for other parents to play an active role in their child’s learning process. This opportunity was and is Sydney's Book Club!
With the help of mentors and people like you, Sydney’s Book Club has positioned itself to expand across the country opening chapters in every possible location in an effort to help introduce young children to the joys of reading!
