Welcome Book Clubbers, I'm Sydney!
Sydney’s Book Club is a 501c3 nonprofit organization promoting early reading and literacy skills while encouraging positive parent-child interaction. We do this by creating opportunities for emerging reading and literacy skills to form in preschoolers, both in and outside of the home on a regular basis! These opportunities include our online community, physical book club meetings, literacy camps, school visits, events, and by providing books to help build at home libraries.
Why Early Literacy?
Did you know that 37% of children arrive at kindergarten without the skills necessary for lifetime learning? According to the U.S Department of Education children who have not yet developed some basic literacy skills by the time they enter schools are 3-4 times more likely to drop out in later years.

to help build the at-home libraries in underprivileged communities and the bookshelves of Title 1 classrooms!
We've prepared preschoolers for kindergarten entry, participated in inner city classrooms, and inspired a growing social movement of supporters to pass out books for Halloween. The amount of children and parents we've encouraged to read, to date, is countless!
